“Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.”

Psalm 23:6, The Message
As a conclusion to our month of focus on Psalm 23, let’s pray together:

Oh Lord, because You are the Shepherd of my soul, I don’t have to live in want but can know fullness and satisfaction. Lying down in the meadow grasses provides nourishment and rest when I have become hungry and weary. When the waters of my soul are troubled, I call out to You and find that I am quieted and restored.

The path on which You have guided my feet is secure, even when there are dangers all around me. The enemies have to flee at the sound of Your voice. Then I am gathered around Your table with my brothers and sisters in the household of faith to feast on the riches of Your grace.

Since Your goodness and love have been my constant companions in life, why should I fear death? Your Presence will continue with me as I go through the valley in order to enter into the heavenly realm. There I will find that prepared place which Jesus promised His disciples would be ready for them and for all who believed in His name: the forever home in Your house.

Amen.
